MUMBAI CRICKET ASSOCIATION (MCA) LAUNCHES CAPITAL T20 CORPORATE LEAGUE
A first time ever T20 format for Corporates

Launched officially by way of Press conference, on October 17th in Mumbai, the inaugural Capital T-20 Corporate League for Institutional and Corporate teams from Mumbai Metropolitan region is set to commence from November 1, 2014

Capital Group from UAE is putting their might behind this, small format Cricket tournament to be played between 184 corporates over 16 weeks playing 316 matches.



A big bonanza in the form of substantial prize money and opportunities to display their talent awaits every cricketer and his team as this new event gets underway in a couple of weeks.
Organized by Fair Play Sports Management in strong support and association with Capital Group has teamed up to provide a strong backing to this Mega Corporate event.

The tournament to be played under the auspices of the MCA will see matches being played on every Saturday with the finals for the respective groups scheduled on January 29, 30, 31 and February 1,2015 at the most revered Wankhede Stadium.
Capital Group also provides total prize money to the tune of Rupees 42 lakhs for this event to support the cause and bring in the competitiveness in the games to be played.
All the major teams from Mumbai like Air-India, Tatas, Indian Oil, D Y Patil Sports Academy, Bharat Petroleum, Western and Central Railway are the teams which will contest the A Division title. Other prominent teams are- Jain Irrigation, Greater Mumbai Police, Future Group, RCF, Mumbai Port Trust, Bank of India, B Arun Kumar, Income-Tax and Indian Navy.

About the Event:
The prize money for the A and B Division is Rupees 2.5 lakhs and 2 lakhs to the winners and runners-up respectively. For the C and D Divisions is Rupees 2 lakhs and 1.5 lakhs respectively. The corresponding prize money for the next four Divisions is Rupees 1.5 lakhs and 1 lakh respectively. Individual prizes like Man of the match (Rs 2000 each) and Best Batsman, Bowler and All-Rounder (Rs. 25000 each for every division) are also on offer.
The event is also providing the teams other incentives like T-shirts and Refreshments to the participants and officials.
The finals are to be played at the Wankhede Stadium which means a bonus for most of the players especially from the lower divisions who have yearned to play at this much revered venue at least once in their careers. This will be an annual Calendared event and will develop to have the most sought after fan following, within the corporate fraternity. This event will house the best Sponsorship names with which are to target the vast employee listing of the teams playing during this tournament as well as their extended families.
